What's this?

ChicagoFilm.com is a new online magazine and newsletter aimed at actively promoting Chicago’s vibrant film culture.

We focus on Chicago’s creators and producers, the events they’re attending, and the films they’re excited about.

Though our focus is local, we’ll be interviewing and writing about filmmakers of national significance – putting a distinct Chicago frame around the world of cinema. We plan on making a mark with quality content, eye-catching graphics, and innovative multimedia experiences.

That's what's so illogical, you know, about being a Smurf. What's the point of living if you don't have a dick?
- Donnie Darko, directed by Richard Kelly

Who comes up with this stuff?
In case your wondering, the intrepid folks behind your favorite Chicago film mag are just like you, really. Only they spend far too much time in either dark movie theaters staring at big bright screens, and dark offices staring at little dim ones.

ChicagoFilm.com was originally brought to the burgeoning world of the Internet in 1999 by Scott Lindenberger.

But it lacked any and all traces of it's current vibrancy until the fortuitous meeting of three fine lads, who took up the torch and made our little online pub what it is today.
